St. Bernard has had a Hispanic Ministry since 1981 and continues this tradition by offering Mass, Catholic sacraments and faith formation every week in Spanish and also hosts Spanish-speaking community events such as Fiestas, health and information workshops and the Mobile Mexican Consulate all throughout the year. People from each and every Spanish-speaking country continue to make it one of their first stops when arriving to Akron and often use it as a touchstone to find others like them or from their country or those who can give them the opportunities in the community that they are seeking or looking to offer.
